Rabobank Hockey World Cup

Cashless event

Paying for drinks, food and souvenirs during the Rabobank Hockey World Cup has been made as easy as possible, thanks to the use of special pre-paid debit cards from MyOrder. The cash-free system cuts down on queues and is a safe way to make payments, as you don’t have to carry cash around. When you want to buy something, all you have to do is hold the card against the terminal and make your payment.

First visit

You will be given the MyOrder card free of charge when you arrive at the World Cup grounds for the first time. Follow the signs to the fast lane for foreign visitors. Then all you have to do is load the card with money using your debit card, credit card or cash, turning it into an electronic purse.

If you have a bank card with a Maestro logo, there are various points around the grounds where you can top up your MyOrder card. If you don’t have a Maestro card, you can go to a special service station at the entrance where you can top up the card with your credit card or cash.

Visitors will be able to enjoy extra benefits by using World Cup discount coupons. You can upload these onto your card at the MyOrder internet stations dotted around the World Cup grounds. You can then use the coupon when making your payment. The MyOrder card allows you to make purchases costing up to €150. In most shops, you will be able to pay by credit card for major items, like hockey sticks and outfits.

The advantages of going cash-free

  • Fast efficient payment, cutting queues
  • Safe – you don’t have to carry cash around
  • Extra discounts in World Cup shops
  • Everyone has their own card, so you can control your children’s spending
  • Bigger groups can use a group card

At the end of the event you can hand in the MyOrder pre-paid debit card and the remaining balance will be refunded in cash. You can also donate it to the children’s sport charity Jeugdsportfonds, which is supported by the KNHB. You will find the donation point in the entrance hall.
