Korea joins qualifiers for the Rabobank Hockey World Cup 2014

The Korean men’s team has become the eighth squad to qualify for the Rabobank Hockey World Cup 2014, thanks to Argentina.
The South American side won the Pan America Cup this weekend and automatically qualify for the World Cup as a continental champions. This means Argentina’s other place in the World Cup, which it picked up for coming second in the third round of the World Hockey League in Malaysia, now goes to first reserve Korea. Korea was fourth in Malaysia, with the top three teams winning a World Cup place.

Argentina beat Canada 4-0 in the final of the Pan American Cup on Sunday, August 18. All four goals were scored in the second half by defender and penalty corner expert Gonzalo Peillat within the space of 20 minutes.
