The Chinese women’s team will play their first match at the Rabobank Hockey World Cup 2014 on Sunday, June 1 against Germany. ‘We are going to try to win every match and get the best possible results,’ says captain Mao Weilin. The women’s best performance to date was a bronze medal at the 2002 World Cup - one of six times they have qualified for the event. They finished 6th at the 2012 Olympics in London.
