Travelling to the Hockey World Cup by coach?

If you are planning to travel to the Rabobank Hockey World Cup in The Hague by coach, a few simple measures will avoid traffic jams and ensure your passengers can get on and off as quickly as possible.

Please let the Dutch hockey association KNHB know about your plans at least one week in advance by emailing namkooij@. In your email you should state the date of your visit, the approximate arrival time, the number of coaches, your planned departure time and contact details, including a physical address for the parking permit to be sent to. This permit will allow you to use the bus park in the Groene Zoom (P9).

We would also ask you to report your impending arrival around 15 minutes before you reach the Kyocera Stadium by phoning the number on the parking permit. If desired, we may also be able to arrange transport for the coach driver from P9. Passengers will need to be ready to leave 15 minutes before the official departure time at the same drop-off location.  The coach may wait there for 15 minutes to pick them up.

Directions to the Kyocera Stadium
To get to the Kyocera Stadium from all directions, take the A12, exit 5, direction Nootdorp.

From Utrecht (A12)
Take exit 5 and head for Nootdorp/Kyocera Stadium. Keep to the right at the roundabout and follow the main road – the Donau - which runs parallel to the motorway and along the water. At the second roundabout, take exit three.  After 150 metres, go right on to the service road. The driver can stop and let the passengers out in front of the Tenbos building. As soon as the passengers have left the bus, the driver must drive on to another location or the special bus park.

From The Hague, Amsterdam and Rotterdam
Take exit 5 and head for Nootdorp/Kyocera Stadium. Turn left at the first junction and at the roundabout take first right. See above for further directions.

Route from the drop-off point to the bus park (P9)
After the passengers have left the coach, follow the road back via the main road (Donau) and take the A12, direction Den Haag (The Hague). Take exit 4 and turn right at the junction. Take the immediate first right to the Laan van Nieuw Oosteinde. At the end of the road go left on to Parkweg. Take the second left on to Van Schagenstraat. At the T junction, turn left, then take the first right on to the Vlietstraat. Follow the road to the end and go right on to the Raadhuisstraat. At the end go left on to the Kerkstraat. Once you have crossed the water take the first right on to the Groene Zoom. The bus park is to the left, in the car park belonging to football club Wilhemina.
