“The third place match saw Argentina up against England for the bronze medal at the 2014 Rabobank Men’s Hockey World Cup. After a relatively uneventful first half, the game came to life in the 55th minute when Argentina scored twice in quick succession.
First, Matias Parades slammed home a field-goal and then a minute later he scored again to put Argentina up 2-0. England almost replied immediately but for a fantastic stop by the Argentinian keeper. 11th ranked Argentina held on to the lead to secure their first ever medal at a World Cup.
